Who this is for

Property and facilities managers with a colony in a building they are responsible for. HOA boards dealing with bees in a clubhouse, an entry monument, a pool structure or a common-area tree. What these have in common is that they are not the residential emergency this trade is built around. There is a budget, an approval chain, a liability question and a schedule. The conversation is different, so this page is different.

Liability, first, because it is your first question

We carry insurance and will provide a certificate before work starts. Most beekeepers who will happily take a swarm out of a tree are not insured or equipped for structural work at height on a commercial property, and that gap is the reason a lot of colonies in commercial buildings get sprayed by a pest contractor instead of removed by a beekeeper.

How a large job gets scoped

We come and look. On anything commercial, quoting from a photograph is guesswork, and guesswork at height is how people get hurt and budgets get blown.

The site visit establishes where the comb actually sits, how the cavity is constructed, what access equipment the job needs, whether the work can be done from outside or has to come through an interior finish, and what has to be opened and closed. You get a written quote covering the removal, the cavity clean, the seal, and a clear statement of what falls to your own trades.

Where a building has multiple colonies, which is common on older institutional sites and agricultural buildings, we will price them together and sequence them sensibly rather than treating each as a separate mobilisation.

Working around people

On an occupied site the timing is usually more constrained than the work. We schedule around occupancy: out of hours, during closures, over a weekend, or in a school holiday.

We will tell you plainly what exclusion zone the work needs and for how long. A structural removal produces flying bees for a period, and the honest answer is that you want people out of a defined area while it happens rather than managing curiosity.

Where we travel, stated plainly

We are based in Sherman and our residential work concentrates on Grayson, Fannin and northern Collin counties, roughly within forty miles.

For commercial and large structural jobs we travel further, into the wider DFW metro. We will not pretend to be local to Plano or Dallas, because we are not, and for a two-hour emergency response you are better served by someone based there. For scheduled work on a large or complex colony, distance matters far less than whether the contractor is insured, equipped and actually going to remove the comb.
